Sting or Bee Stung!
I am so proud to have been chosen to be a Honey Stinger Hive Ambassador for 2017. I’ve been waiting patiently to hear back and today was the day. Their organic waffles and energy chews are an essential part of my fueling plan for all of my long runs. There are even gluten free options. I especially like the cinnamon, vanilla, and gingersnap waffles. There are some new flavors I am excited to try out as well: chocolate mint and vanilla/chocolate mix! As for the chews, I have a LOT of favorites: cherry blossom, fruit smoothie, pomegranate passion fruit, and pink lemonade. The waffles satisfy my hunger on long runs and keep my stomach happy. The chews always give me a nice burst of energy and taste great!
Woke Up to a World of White
No school today since we woke up to this beautiful mess!
Snow Day Food
A blurry pic of my salad. I had a whole chicken in the crockpot overnight in case we would lose power during the storm today. For dinner we all did what we wanted with it. My hubby and older son put it in Ramen, my youngest ate it plain with leftover breakfast potatoes, and I put it with a salad. (Saving my carbs for the cookies below!)
And it’s not a snow day without homemade cookies! Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies . (no flour, no butter) They recipe calls for 1 cup of peanut butter. I was able to scrape 3/4 cup peanut butter from 3 leftover jars (crunch and creamy), then used 1/4 of almond butter. They turned out really yummy and they are not terribly bad for you either. A nice treat on a cold and snowy day!
I got 9 miles of cycling in last night before the storm, along with upper body and core at the gym. Today I did some shoveling but while the boys did the driveway, I tried this workout.
Then I did some light yoga and spent time with the old ab roller..
